Madison Altenburger began working at Suffolk DBT as a clinical therapy intern in June of 2018. During her internship she participated in the weekly adolescent group therapy sessions. Her passion for DBT motivated her to help us create and implement a family group program. She co-lead the weekly family group sessions alongside Jeanette Lorandini, LCSW and was promoted to our teams Group Therapy Coordinator.
Madison temporarily left Suffolk DBT to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology. After completing her degree from St. Joseph’s College, she returned to help us transition the family group program to a digital one. Madison organizes the material to be shared in group each week and co-hosts the digital family group sessions. Additionally, she eagerly leads the mindfulness exercise at the beginning of each family group session.
Madison’s excellent organizational skills and attention to detail enable her to take on the task of unique content creation, such as editing and writing material for our webpage. She strives to be the best at what she does, no matter how small or large the task may be. Madison cares deeply about creating a positive experience not only for our team but for all of our clients as well.
